Boy, i was disappointed when i saw Braixen for the first time. WTF, i thought, they made a fucking ballerina with a stick in the ass, i thought. I mean...a stick in it's ass. WHY. Then i got Y, i got my Fennekin, i evolved it and Braixen disabused me very quickly, because....it may have a stick in its ass and look awfully feminine, but holy smokes, are these stick moves STYLISH or what.
As for Delphox: It's still hard to swallow this overkill earfluff but come on, it's a magician. Soft spot for magicians and stuff. Mega-Alakazam: Didn't see it in action so far, so i can't say much about it yet. But looking so forward to it. D8
Fuck yeah, Pokémon.
One of the reasons i got hooked on Pokémon anno 99 and still enjoy the games, beside the overall addictive collecting/fighting concept (and and and): Foxlike critters everywhere. And they still keep designing even moar.
Some time ago i felt like doing a little collection between work and here you go with an odd...culpeo-esque pokémonstyleidunnobla (yes, i always saw Abra, Kadabra und Alakazam as foxes. And i do love them, really. I remember that i wouldn't leave Cerulean City before i caught an Abra (mostly called "Houdini" just BECAUSE ) that also always stayed constantly in my team after that.)
And please don't be disappointed that i didn't include the Eveelutions here. Even though they do share some vulpine features i could never see them as foxes but rather...cabbits (cat+rabbit hybrids). You know. Long, thin ears, short muzzles (and i'll kiss a horse if Espeon's inspiration wasn't especially borrowed from cats). Doesn't mean that i do not like them, though. Umbreon actually is one of my favourites.
And i feel like drawing more. Maybe i'll throw in another one with my favourite Pokémon.
Interesting that you think of Alakazam as a fox, I could never really make out what he was supposed to be.
And it's nice to see a new twist on the eevolutions, I never thought of them as cats except for Espeon, obviously a cat.
I always thought of Mew and Mewtwo as kangaroos, not cats as well.
