Morelia by Culpeo-Fox Morelia by Culpeo-Fox
Times New Roman (Stanley Morison).

Something different. Have typography for a change.
Inspired by some great typeface "art" that i've seen here and there, wanted to try something related. Photo reference was used of course.

How did you do it? I would spend hours in pain turning letters around and would fail... how? HOW?

Beautiful! Out of curiousity, how would you make something like this? Besides your Corvus, I've never seen this type of thing before.

Thank you!

It basically is taking a reference picture, putting another layer on it, writing/copying bazillions of words and stacking them together.

it'S ver beautiful. I love how the different boldness of the letters creates some form to the subject :) I would have put more attentions to the title. it just looks like it had as much attention as the snake. Its enough awsom to be my wallpaper :) bravo

I wish I could add this to my favorites a thousand times. This is absolutely brilliant~ Not only is it AMAZING typography...that definitely are perfect to describe snakes...it actually looks EXACTLY like...what I will assume is...a green tree python? I kept going between GTP and carpet python.

Pretty sure I just had an artgasm. x////x Beautiful beautiful work.

I believe what they do is underlay a picture of whatever and then put all their fancy words over it, then remove the underlay so that you have some nice text art. At least, that's how I've done it in the past (granted, it was a relatively simple picture). I'm sure it's completely possible to go without the underlay, but that'd also make it infinitely more difficult. I don't think that, in and of itself, it's too terribly difficult. I think it'd be more time consuming than anything else.

You know, unless you're doing something like this. Then, yeah, that's difficult.

(Take this with a grain of salt. I'm not an expert by any means with this. I just thought I'd give you what I hope is some insight.)

I just finished a typography class last semester, and this is incredible... How long did it take you to complete? What program did you use? I'm trying to understand how you incorporated the gradient into the text.

At first I was going to point out how much empty space there was, but the more I look at it, there more I like it. I don't know what your whole concept idea was, but it seems to me that you intended to create the illusion that the snake was hanging from a brach or something similar. Idk, but I like it. lol
