And here is where I falter to make a.. decent comment.

However - you and Skia, be you as foxes or your seal and shark, are quite a gorgeous pair, I must say. I've always liked sharks in particular, and Kappa here is quite a brilliant specimen. I also do quite like how he incorporates your title (name, handle, however you wish to regard it) and appearance of "Black Eye". As well as the fact - you do have a scar that parallels his own, if I recall reading right in the past?

Comments, terrible at them - but I figured I'd stop.. lurking, heh, or being too daunted to so much as comment.

If anything else, if I can't get to drawing you something appropriate soon, I might have my hand at drawing Kappa and Flekk together, if it would be fine with you?

Actually, you never cease to amaze me with how well you know and see things.

Because yes - besides his sleek built and pointy fox face the black eyes were the exact reason why the mako made it (and not the the blacktip reef). And yes - the scar was of course referring to my own (and i'm more than surprised that someone who didn't even see me in person yet remembers it).

As for the drawing thing - you can draw whatever you want. Though i'm sure that the result would blow us away again.

I do try, yes - and not misinterpret or get anything incorrect, hah. So I have to thank you for that, even if I'm a bit awkward in expressing it (you'll have to forgive me).

Yet, he does seem more fitting than the blacktip reef in that regards, yes - as well as his darker colour scheme seems to accompany, or compliment your personality, and I'd say appearance better than the brown (even as the brown does bear some resemblance to Sin, I'd have to say, but I'm sure applying Sin's design on a lot of creatures, as you've done in the past calls for some diversity?).

Hah, I'll admit I used to linger about your livejournal in the past, as I like to read, and see those of whom inspire, or are very interesting to myself. (Don't I seem stalkerish.) Even if, I myself, do not have one exactly. But I do recall you writing of that - glass shard, in one case, a dog scratching near your eye in another, although I'm unsure if that healed?

I'll stop here. It's none of my business and I am prodding, heavens, and I do apologise for that as well. However, I shall scope out for elements to draw (as I wanted to make something for you as well), and try to, as always, interpret, and do justice.

As my, do you two deserve it. You, and the rest of them, truly do.

It's true, the blacktip reef colours shared more similarities to Sin (and to myself as well since i'm practically brown (skin) and black (hair) what made the final choice pretty tricky. Mako made it then because of its built and black eyes (and, being honest here: He is so much easier to colour. Yes, i'm a lazy old fart).
It's not so much a matter of diversity, though, but rather the wish for staying plausible (i never heard of makos with culpeo colours so far). I'd only transfer the typical Sin colours if it is still authentic (for example, my Deinonychus shares the exact same look as Sin. Possible since no one knows how they were coloured. And Sin's pattern happens to look great on dromaeosaurids.) I did that in the past but that was more out of fun.

Ah, of course, of course. I didn't mean to come off as bias there, in mention of diversity, but I understand that completely. While you'd want something closer to "home", I suppose you could say, that doesn't hold as a reason to ruin a species, and otherwise make them.. incorrect? It's best to be respectful to them, and keep their features, instead of fully making them your own, I suppose you could say. In such a case I can see why it was difficult to decide with which to settle.

I suppose, I figured the Mako fit you better in context of the black eyes (as we discussed), and a bit more of personality and, black hair - but I suppose the Blacktip covered it better given that the Shortfin is indeed grey instead of black. (Lazy? Not at all, I wouldn't call that a bad thing, and to be honest back, you're very detailed for a "lazy old fart", heh. I'd say you ought to deserve some break, yeah?)

However, I had figured it was all in good fun, the transfers that weren't too reasonable (that, and you just seem to love tormenting Sin a bit, or you used to, eh heh), and I do actually admire your patience to stay true to the animal's nature. So many, as you know, do no justice, make them "sparkle beasts" and don't really care for them as a whole. You, do, another reason I've respected you so much. More in depth, considerate, not to mention your knowledge of many specimens above that (your Camera-Silens account, for example).

Sin does mean a lot to you, however - and he's been with you for a fairly long while, so with your appearance, and that alone, I can see why it was a great competition between the two. Mako, in my eyes - resembles the Pythox a bit more, if I may say? The Blacktip resembles Sin a bit more in his colours.

(As I'm here spamming your comments. Yeesh.)
