Nun also zum Bild selbst.

Danke.

People are commenting that this is a Myrna bird. I've never heard of it, but I can say that this is glorious work with the lighting and the sketchy lines!

....my god the coincidence. I'd just been working on an art piece about a Myna bird today in my art class. :XD: It's based off a story called "A Forty Year Old Man" and it's pretty sad.

This is lovely, though :D

The detail on the feathers is extraordinary. I can see the striations on the feathers - I wonder whether or not you have drawn these instinctively! Also, does it looks like the bird is gazing into the horizon, or am I imagining things?

I love how the colour on its feathers is not perfectly uniform, it has a very authentic look. I also love the gliding bird in the background - I can feel the chilled air just by looking at it!

Bring on the rain and those expressive, angry clouds <3

I would never have considered the myna as a storm bird. the crow and raven, now there are som likely candidates^^
beautiful perspective here, and I love the sfumato darkening the rest of the piece.
..I just learned that word today and am so happy I get the chance to use it^^

I failed to comment on your hyena bloke - and so I will comment here instead.
Each new piece from you, I am left sitting in awe.
It's repetitive to say it's "gorgeous", and while I have to insist it is.. your detail, the depth - the concept, and ever still you, your works, are inspiring.

Storm bird.
I lack the words, and commenting is never my strong suit but..

Feathers dampened by rain,
the caller unphased.
Storms in relation to longing,
both disastrous, and at times beautiful.
Chaos in talons - depth in amber eyes.
Rain, cleansing, comforting - harrowing.
Washes of darkness and light, balance and imbalance.
So much power, to something so small.
A friend, a keeper - one so faithfully at that.

...absolute nonsense. No. Philosophical nothings, that have no relation.
I go now, with cliche "oh this is great, wonderful, beautiful" - because it is.

'why can't I draw foxes like that' - on a bird picture. I love comments, they're great.
