Jaja... diese kleinen unschuldig aussehenden Vögelchen. UGAHR.
Ooh, this is really nice! ♥ I was actually just reading up on theropods and how aves evolved from that particular clade of dinosaurs for my college class, so this really caught my attention. Also, I love the color/texture of the parchment; it gives it that "old" sort of feel that this piece really deserves.
You might find this interesting if you're interested in theropod evolution and the emergence of the feather not as an adaptation for flight, but rather as an exaptation:
Great article! I recently finished reading this book about prehistoric birds (including all the non-avians) that you might find interesting. I would also recommend All Yesterdays which is more of an art book, and features some fantastic envisionings of feathery dinos.
I don't think it's an apocalypse piece as such, after all it's saying that the dinosaurs never really went extinct, some are still with us in their evolved form - birds. I guess it might have some of the same themes as an apocalypse piece. It's a definite reference to Jurassic Park though, which I love ^^
...I don't intend to be mean but did you read the description? Culpeo said "Humans are still around as well" in reference to the apocalypse that was rumored to happen yesterday, and I was responding to that.
