Just went through your page and I love your page! I'm just curious, I noticed that you drew a lot of Fox's at first, then started drawing snakes. What made you want to draw snakes?

Thank you!

I love snakes just as i do love foxes; the very first snake submission goes way back to 2008 --->

And they were also very early included in several gift arts like this one (which i still admire to death) --->
Trouble Magnet Sin by Crysaliz
And one should not forget Siebentod/Sevendeath, a very old python character very dear to me (though, don't pay too much attention to the fucked up anatomy).

Also, mixing the two together is a thing that can be traced way back, like the Fox Snakes or the late Phisi (both of which inoffcially turned into my mascots). Not to mention Snake Nation, which would be the newest addition that features snakes and foxes storywise.

But of course you're right, the massive snake spam didn't happen until about 2014 (and it kinda started out with photography; i have rather easy access to real snakes (much more so than i do have to real foxes) and, in terms of photography, specialised on them in the process) and i really knuckled myself down into studying them since i realised that even though i did draw snakes before i had no idea about their basic anatomy and how they actually work (older pictures make me cringe whenever i look at the incorrect scaling because i just didn't bother in doing better research and study back then).

In that, the whole snake thing somewhat correlates with my return to my Thai roots (being Thai-German, i wasn't in Thailand for ten years until i returned in 2014 and literally embraced it). Just like foxes, the snakes were always there - just much more subtle until they broke out together with my Thai return.

It might sound weird, but in the end, i kinda like thinking that the snakes represent my Thai side, while the foxes are the German part. :P
I could also go even further and say that if you put Thailand (snake) and Germany (fox) together, you naturally get South-American (fox snake) (explanation: even though Thai-German, people always guess me to be South-American. And wouldn't you know, there does exist a South-American mythical creature half fox half snake, called Nguruvilu, which is the exact thing that my snake fox characters Pythox and Snox are based on. AND it also explains why i went for the Culpeo Fox to be my name sake (Culpeo = South-American canid which is also called "False Fox", for looking the part but not being a true fox - which, in that sense, is just like me: I look the part, but i'm not South-American. Kudos to everyone who reads this and still can follow).

My Chinese Zodiac also happens to be Snake, so there's that. But i better stop there because as you can see, there is a LOT behind this all and i yet, i could still go on for hours. :P
